LB dance and musical theatre Co. is a dance, music, singing and acting school for children of all ages - babies, toddlers, children, pre-teens and teens - in NYC and the Hampton’s with classes / summer camps / mommy (daddy) and me musical theatre classes / private vocal and acting coaching / privates and group privates for all of our offerings - mommy (daddy) and me, Broadway Ballet, Popular Dance, Theatre Dance, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Singing, Acting and Script Writing and home of, “Theatre Kids” Theatrical Company.
Our students learn and practice Theatre Dance, Popular Dance, Broadway Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Singing and Acting in our camps and classes.

New this year: we will be offering holiday break “Theatre Kids” mini camps complete with dance, singing, acting practice and putting on shows in NYC.

About our Dance and Musical Theatre Classes
HOW KIM AND HER TEAM TEACH DANCE AND MUSICAL THEATRE + OUR FORMAT AND OUR SUMMER AND HOLIDAY CAMPS
Kim - our founder - has developed a method of teaching in her 30 years teaching career in NYC and tri-state area that inspires children from every walk/dance of life - because dance is actually just big walking!
One of Kim's specialties is teaching very young children, giving first year students the building blocks of dance and tap curriculum and the love of dance and theatre. This also includes listening to the music, feeling and following the beat and always telling a story.

Kim teaches her team to find ways to put the steps of the day in every dance and activity. We repeat these steps until the kids are ready for something new. As a team, we work like an improvisation group and every teacher adds to the dynamic and creativity of the dances and the class. We also offer singing and acting classes, which the LB (Little Barn) dancers Love!
Our motto is patience, learning the basics with repetition with lots of love and fun to accomplish and build the child’s dance language and skills, with a solid dance curriculum in a fun and approachable way.

At Little Barn, we believe dance and musical theatre deserve important and inspirational spaces with a wholesome, clever and skill-based curriculum and strong philosophy as we journey along “the yellow brick road…”

The journey will remind us that we are Brave, Smart and Kind in our own ways, showing up each day to become Dancers, Singers and Actors, making friends and finding mentors along the way in our beautiful, creative and nurturing space.
Rainbows, butterflies, lady bugs, birds, the occasional dragonfly (and mystical flying unicorns) capture our imagination - something beyond our reach but present with a song, dance and story. We come alive in our summer farm setting learning, playing and putting on shows till the day is gone when the fireflies appear for their nightly summer shows.

LITTLE BARN BIRTHDAY PARTIES AND ENTERTAINMENT
Our Little Barn Birthday parties may take place in our summer Musical Theatre Dance Tent (Hamptons: we can accommodate up to 30 children), our NYC Studio (UES: we can accommodate up to 15 children) or your chosen location.
We provide the space and/or entertainment and swag bag, you bring the cake and snacks.
Your child will be the star and director - in a delightful version and format of our very popular format of musical theatre class.
We will custom tailor this dancing and singing party to your child’s vision.
Our teachers can turn up as your child’s favorite characters!
