Music, Movement, and Moments You’ll Never Forget

Parent and baby participating in music class at Little Barn Theatre

Join us at Little Barn Theatre for a cozy, creative class designed just for parents and their little ones (ages 1 month - 3 years).

Our Mommy & Me Musical Theatre Class is a joyful space to sing, move, connect, and play - together.

Whether your little one is crawling, toddling, or already grooving to music at home, this class nurtures early development while giving you both time to bond and enjoy the magic of music and movement.

What to Expect in Class

This isn’t your average “sit in a circle and clap” baby class. At Little Barn, we blend the fun of musical theatre with age-appropriate movement, rhythm, and expression.

Each 50-minute class includes:

  • Live music and singing (yes, even if you don’t know the words!)

  • Gentle dance and movement activities

  • Theatre-inspired play and storytelling

  • Baby-safe instruments and props

  • A safe, inclusive space where you can be playful too

Our teachers guide both parents and babies through each activity, making it easy to participate - even if you’re sleep-deprived, unsure about your rhythm, or still figuring out how to juggle snacks, sippy cups, and shoes.

We get it. 💙

  • Is experience required?
Nope! Many campers are new to theatre or dance. Others come back every year. Our team supports every child based on where they’re at.
  • What if my child is shy or unsure?
We never force campers to perform. We gently encourage participation and focus on joy over perfection.
  • Can my child attend multiple weeks?
Yes! Many campers join us for several sessions. Our theme and programming evolve weekly to keep things fresh and exciting.
  • Is my child feel lost if they join mid-summer?
Not at all! We usually advise parents however to sign up for at least 2 to 3 weeks at a time, so that our campers form new friendships and can practise for the shows.
  • Are campers separated by age?
Yes and no. The first half of the day, wee break into small groups based on age (usually 3.5–5, 6–8, 9–12) so each child gets the right mix of fun and focus. The second half of the day, the campers rehearse choreography, songs, and original scenes for Friday’s performance.
  • Do campers spend time outside?
Yes! More than half the day is spent outside doing acting and singing classes. We also spend our lunch break and play time outdoors. The youngest group this year, will have a mud kitchen set up as well.
  • What’s the staff-to-camper ratio?
We maintain a high staff-to-camper ratio with trained counselors and instructors. Campers are always seen and supported.
  • What’s your refund policy?
100% refund through April 1, 2025 50% refund through May 1, 2025 $50 registration fee is non-refundable After that, refunds are handled case by case (illness, emergencies, etc.)
